This Japanese scroll calligraphy of Bodhidharma reads “直指人心,見性成佛”(from up to low, left to right) “Zen points directly to the human heart, see into your nature and become Buddha”. It was created by Hakuin Ekaku ( 1685 to 1768)

This is a faithful photographic reproduction of an original two-dimensional work of art. The work of art itself is in the public domain for the following reason:
