Description Escudo de la ciudad de Asunción (Paraguay): Escudo cuartelado. 1º, de azur, la imagen de Nuestra Señora de Asunción, sobre una nube, todo de plata. 2º, de azur, efigie de San Blas, levantando su brazo derecho en actitud de bendecir y sosteniendo con la mano izquierda un báculo, todo de plata. 3º, de azur, castillo de plata, aclarado de azur. 4º, de azur, un árbol (naciente del flanco derecho) y un león con su rabo enroscado a una palmera, todo de plata.
